This course (presented in English) introduces the theories and issues which underpin current practice in LOTE teaching. Students become familiar with secondary LOTE syllabuses and primary curriculum guidelines for LOTE. Students will be given guidance in the development and implementation of communicative lessons in LOTE and be introduced to the issues of materials development and evaluation. The course aims to introduce students to the basic concepts so that they will be familiar with what is expected of them in their first fieldwork experience of LOTE teaching. Assessment includes the presentation of a micro-lesson and a reflective case study as specified in the Course Outline. -- Course Website
