This course examines basic principles of human disease processes from etiological and diagnostic perspectives. The course is strongly orientated toward developing and learning useful laboratory skills for diagnosis. Several major core discipline areas of pathology (biochemistry, haematology, histology, cytology, and transfusion medicine) will be explored with an emphasis on their clinical relevance and importance.
