This course focuses on various pathological states encountered by the human body. Students explore the mechanisms involved in the breakdown of homeostasis along with interventions designed to achieve a return to homeostasis. Emphasis is on the development of both knowledge and understanding of a range of core concepts relating to microbiology, pathophysiology and pharmacology. The ways the body changes across the lifespan will also be explored.<br/>Prerequisite: 1975NRS Anatomy and Physiology 2<br/>For graduate entry students 1961NRS Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology is a prerequisite for this course. -- Course Website
