This course explores the biology, ecology, diversity and conservation status of marine mammals and fish. It has a global scope, but particularly examines the species of eastern Australia. It covers the history of exploitation of marine mammals and the conflicts between mammal conservation and fisheries interests. The course also covers the ecology and conservation status of marine turtles and sharks.
