This course will cover all aspects of the biology of the brain and nervous system. The course will include study of neuroanatomy, from the structure and function of individual nerve cells, to the functioning of different parts of the brain, neurosignalling including synaptic transmission and neurotransmitter systems, higher brain functions such as learning, memory, cognition and emotion as well as neurological diseases and neuropathology.<br/><br/>Prerequisite: 1016MSC Anatomy & Physiology Systems I & 1017MSC Anatomy & Physiology Systems II -- Course Website
