This course gives students an appreciation of the function and structure of living organisms and will explore the characteristics of organisms, which equip them for distinctive modes of life. It examines life at the molecular, cellular, and organ levels, and addresses the function and structure of cells and organisms, the origin and chemical basis of life, and the processes of photosynthesis and respiration.
