This unit examines the measurement of more complex work in specialist substructures, structural framing systems, building services and equipment and measurement of civil engineering works and is underpinned by the theoretical frameworks of construction project economics. The unit will challenge students to integrate analysis through computer applications in quantity surveying and estimating functions and in contract documentation to strategic decision making on projects. The unit shall engage students in debate on comparisons and evaluation of international case studies in relation to project development economics. The case study based format will be supplemented with lectures. -- Course Website
