This unit investigates architectural design as a discipline of philosophic intention essentially coupled with compositional, structural, and material development.  The projects undertaken will be structured to allow students to move quickly to a position where the designs may be studied as architectural design development.  Designs will be analysed and the design potentials developed with reference to the works of selected architects, with investigation into compositional and material methods, and design intentions.  Designs will then be developed to a considerable level of resolution such that significant parts of the scheme are understood for their philosophic and material qualities. ... -- Course Website
