The biological processes of the major Australian vegetation types and the marine, benthic, macro-algae will be examined to provide the basis for critical examination of their management.  The issues involved in the conservation and restoration of rare, threatened and vulnerable communities are discussed. Endangering processes, including climate change and ecosystem disruption, are considered in the context of restoration programs, and issues relating to the various approaches to the restoration of native vegetation are explored. Throughout the program students are encouraged to question and critically evaluate the social aspects relating to vegetation conservation and management. -- Course Website
