The unit explores internet technologies for esystems software development such as, the use of XML schemas including DTD and XSD in creating XML documents, models of distributed computing in the high-level design of esystems, XML web services which is a significant paradigm in distributed computing and the role of open standards, such as SOAP and WSDL, for the development of web services. Methods for the publishing and consuming of web services in B2B systems. In addition, there will be a major focus on server-side technologies for esystems such as PHP, J2EE and .net with an emphasis on components development.
