This unit studies the development of attack methods on modern cryptographic systems. RSA-based systems are a major focus and a deep analysis of the structure and design of RSA is undertaken in the unit, with a focus on factorization techniques and primality testing. Random number generation, digital signing and forgeries are studied briefly. Implementation issues such as speed and memory are included. -- Course Website
