The design and development of multimedia systems involves complex systems analysis and design issues, the application of project management principles, and the integration of diverse content through multimedia authoring. The authoring stage involves bringing together, using appropriate tools, multimedia assets and interaction processes to create a multimedia system. On completing this unit, students will be able to author multimedia content for CD-ROM and online media; work with a variety of multimedia scripting systems; create interactive content; and apply interactivity to existing static content.
