The scope of this unit is engineering project management, i.e., knowledge skills and competencies relevant and commonly required to proficiently manage projects that typically involve or are encountered in professional engineering practice. Accordingly this unit relies extensively on two bodies of professional knowledge; the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOKĀ®) which is internationally accepted and widely used in the profession of engineering (and others) and the general professional engineering body of knowledge.
