This unit aims to enable students develop effective sport development programs and practices, and assists them with the planning, designing and managing of sport systems and pathways for sporting organisations and communities. This is achieved through introducing students to major issues in policy development and development practices in sport organisations. A critical review of development practices of and through sport driven by excellence in sports performance and improved participation respectively will be presented. Students will be given the opportunity to explore policy and sport development issues through innovative experiential learning techniques and case studies.Assessment -- Course Website
