Community based arts are a valuable tool for building strong communities, increasing social capital and creating exciting, distinctive art works. There is also growing interest in how participatory art processes build new relationships with audiences. This unit addresses the knowledge and skills needed to engage diverse communities in arts projects, and manage community creative processes.
