This unit will work towards building students' capacity to apply the appropriate judgments in designing a large-scale research project, and a solid grasp of the criteria which distinguish excellent research designs. The unit takes an eclectic approach to developing a solid understanding of the various techniques and methods used by social science researchers and incorporates workshops, practical problem-solving, debate and .discussion.
