This unit provides a framework for examining financial intermediaries and the practice of financial risk management. It provides a unified approach to the theoretical and empirical research in financial markets, institutions and financial regulation. In addition there is coverage of the institutional detail of financial intermediaries, the theory and nature of the intermediation process, bank system stability and financial intermediary efficiency.
