This unit focuses on economic strategy, with a particular emphasis on business. We begin by analysing the art and science of strategy. Simple game theory will be introduced, clearly distinguishing between conflict and co-operation. The unit will then examine the following key questions: How can an agent negotiate successfully? What is the role of information and how can it be exploited in order to gain bargaining power? How can a contract be written in order to create appropriate incentives?
