The unit offers international exchange students the opportunity to gain first hand experience of social work research in Australia as well as an opportunity to compare social work practice between the students' own country and Australia. The internship consists of a placement in a mutually arranged, supervised position which may be either in the university or in a social work agency where students will ideally undertake a project in the workplace and report on it both to the host organisation and the faculty supervisor.
