This unit assists students to analyse and appraise all aspects of Australian health policies and processes, and the policy context for health promotion and human services in Australia. The unit investigates different forms of health policy and the political process as it relates to policy making. It explores the impact of ideologies, politics and other major forces on policy making and the skills necessary for the community and groups to develop policy and advocate change.
