This unit introduces students to human growth and development in the context of family, household and community environments. It explores factors affecting growth and development across the life span. It will provide an overview of biosocial, sociological, cognitive and psychosocial development across the lifespan. The unit is underpinned by the ecological perspective and explores the interactions and interdependencies between individuals, families and households, the community, and society as they impact on development. Additionally, this unit considers the many issues which have the potential to enhance or mar human development across the lifespan.Assessment -- Course Website
