This unit examines the theory and practice of exercise behaviour change. Students in this unit will develop a basic understanding of the theory and practice of counselling and coaching clients with chronic disease and injury through the behaviour change process. Students will be practicing as part of a rehabilitation team and need to know how to encourage clients to take positive steps towards their own self management. Students will learn how to make a referral to mental health professionals.
