This unit provides students with an understanding of the biological bases of behaviour and a conceptualisation of the integrated nature of biology and psychology. It is designed to review and extend students understanding of behavioural neuroscience and the relationship between human biology and psychopathology. Topics covered include neuroanatomy, neurotransmitters, endocrinology, genetics and psychopharmacology. Emphasis will be placed on understanding how biological, psychological and social issues all contribute to the presentation of neuropsychological disorders, psychopathology and behaviour in general. -- Course Website
