This unit consists of two parallel parts. The first part is more didactic, and is designed to explore issues in the philosophy and history of science that are of relevance to psychology. This will be done in the framework of considering the scientist-practitioner model of training in professional psychology. Students will be asked to reflect on the nature of their undergraduate psychology training. The second part will involve an initial small-group discussion of target articles chosen to illustrate the issues covered in the first part. This element also focuses on ethical and professional issues that may arise in the gathering, promulgation, and application of psychological knowledge.... -- Course Website
