This unit will focus on a variety of methodological approaches to research based upon the scientist-practitioner model of evidence-based practice. The course materials will review methods and statistical analyses with special reference to meta-analysis, clinical trials of psychological treatments, diagnostic accuracy of instruments and epidemiological studies. Students will be required to demonstrate their understanding of analyses appropriate to hypothesis testing, to run and interpret analyses, and to critically evaluate health issues and selected papers. -- Course Website
