The unit is divided into four distinct modules and covers: concepts of shock and multi-organ dysfunction including the appropriate care of patients; management of patients with a variety of cardiac dysfunctions; nursing considerations relating to the care of patients with endocrine disorders; and specialty practice issues in Intensive Care Nursing related to cardiac surgery, nutrition, gastrointestinal disorders, burns, and toxicology. -- Course Website
