Students are provided with learning opportunities to develop a systematic body of knowledge and skill related specifically to the assessment and management of people experiencing acute episodic illness in hospital. Students will be exposed to the professional and social contexts of nursing and focus learning on the identification of risk, the management of symptoms, and the impact of hospitalisation on patients’ functional abilities.
