This is one of three units within the Clinical Studies in Nursing 2 cluster. In the context of community nursing practice, the unit aims to provide opportunities for students to develop a systematic body of knowledge that informs their problem-solving capabilities, skill development, and ability to work in a team. Major foci will be to examine the range of roles and differing philosophies compatible with community nurse practice. Students will acquire the knowledge and methods required to identify and manage patient symptoms, effects of illness on functional status and associated risks experienced by individuals, families and communities in society.
