Health assessment is a foundational skill for nurses in all contexts of care and forms part of the Parallel Studies in Nursing cluster. In this unit students have the opportunity to develop the knowledge, techniques and skills required by the professional nurse to perform holistic, comprehensive nursing health assessment including the physical examination of individuals. Students will develop clinical reasoning skills foundational to the provision of quality patient care, in particular those nursing activities that are directed at risk management, symptom management, and promoting patient function. -- Course Website
