In this unit students will build on, extend and consolidate their foundations from previous studies in HMO203 and HMO303 in the physical and biomedical sciences underpinning optometric practice to a more complex level. Students will engage in further problem-based learning cases drawn from simple and common optometric conditions including those associated with developmental and refractive orders of vision, ocular diseases and therapy and systemic disorders of vision. Lectures, practical and tutorials will be offered in support of the problem-based sessions.
