This unit introduces students to a selection of research methodologies and examines the theoretical frameworks that position different approaches to education research. Students investigate the key tasks and decisions involved in developing sound research proposals and investigate how these activities are themselves shaped by the broader concept of research methodology. The unit introduces different methods of data collection and analysis and examines how these processes are related to research questions and methodological coherence.
