The topics to be addressed in this unit include: the development of skills with the use of word processing and graphics applications for the presentation of educational documents. Capabilities with a desktop publishing application will be developed, sufficient to create short reports, newsletters and student newspapers. The use of database and spread sheet applications will be investigated for storing, organising, manipulating and maintaining information such as survey investigation data, student records, class lists and assessment records. The use of electronic mail, blogs and the internet for educational activities will be developed. -- Course Website
