The Internship unit offers pre-service teachers in their final trimester an extended opportunity to gain experience working semi-independently as a teacher in either an early childhood centre, or a primary or secondary school. Participants will have completed successfully the Deakin Authentic Teacher Assessment (ATA). During the Internship, participants will be required to demonstrate competence in the core work of teachers, i.e. planning, assessing and evaluating for learning; selecting and utilising appropriate pedagogies and technologies; recording and reporting on student progress to key stakeholders, building appropriate relationships with students and colleagues and participating in... -- Course Website

Prerequisites: Students must contact Student Support prior to enrolling in this unit.   Successful completion of 12 credit points of strand study (i.e. early childhood, primary or secondary teaching) including EPR701, EPR702 and EPR703.
