The unit continues the study of the learning and teaching of mathematics in Primary schools begun in the prerequisite unit. Students will continue their study of the content and pedagogical aspects of mathematics education; and investigate the use of mathematical concepts and skills in everyday life. Topics will include developing strategies for effective teaching; problem-solving and investigations; developing geometric concepts and spatial thinking; teaching concepts related to data through an investigational approach; using technology to enhance mathematics teaching; and the development of informal and formal concepts for the measurement of mass, time, temperature, money and angle;... -- Course Website
