This unit focuses on the interaction between music and technology, and will enable students to explore ways in which information and communication technologies may be applied to the creative music making process. The unit will extend students’ experience of the acoustic musical environment to a digital environment where a variety of software programs will be used, together with both synthesized and sampled sound sources, to enable new forms of musical expression. Students will develop skills through a variety of computer-based music production tools and will create music that may be utilised in multimedia presentations and may also incorporate other forms of visual and performing arts. ... -- Course Website
