This unit is designed to examine the diversity of learners and their contexts. Learners vary across a number of characteristics such as culture, gender, age, learning styles and preferences. Contexts of learning vary in the situation in which learning occurs, such as workplace learning, community based learning, learning within institutional settings, flexible and distance learning.
