This unit explores the development of young children's social and cultural understandings through engagement with contemporary theory, policy and practices. Pedagogical approaches which position young children as active and inquiring local and global citizens will frame this unit. Topics include diverse socio-cultural identities; sustainable relationships (individuals, families, community and the environment); changing communication and representations due to technology and globalisation.Assessment -- Course Website
