The focus on music and visual art curriculum, introduces students to aspects of the theory and practice of arts education in primary schools. This includes engagement with the Victorian Essential Learning Standards. Throughout the unit students are encouraged to develop personal discipline based skills in arts practice and responding to the arts (aesthetics, criticism and contexts) together with insights into the processes unique to each of these arts experiences.
