This unit is aimed at extending and deepening students' Chinese language skills and improving their understanding of the Chinese culture by studying and using Chinese in a target language environment. It is conducted over a six-week period in December, January or February in China, and available to students who have completed second level Chinese or equivalent. Students will be expected to practise advanced Chinese syntax and morphology, enhance their ability to use idiomatic speech, and acquire greater understanding of the Chinese society in a variety of contexts in which Chinese is used. -- Course Website
