Unit content will include a sound understanding of cultural theories reflected in artistic practice over the last thirty years. Issues dealing with identity, feminism, information technology, post-colonial discourse, ecology and socio-political commentary have provided avenues for a range of diverse practices across varying mediums. Writers and art practitioners versed in postmodern perspectives will be examined in order to develop a critical knowledge and understanding of a plurality of approaches. Students will also participate in the exhibition, curation and sale of their works at a public venue.Assessment -- Course Website
