This unit introduces students to the concepts and principles of dance and technology. The unit aims to provide students with an understanding of the strategic uses of technology in dance as a means of documenting and marketing dance, and as an emerging choreographic medium in its own right.<br/> Dance's relationship with technology extends from the relatively ‘low tech’ realm of video documentation of performances to more ‘high-tech’ contexts such as real-time processing, sensor systems and motion capture.
