At an advanced level this unit reviews structural and applied anatomy, and pathology of the vertebral column and peripheral regions, relevant to musculoskeletal physiotherapy. The content includes consideration of anatomical adaptations with respect to function, the impact of pathology on function, responses to injury, healing and repair processes in musculoskeletal structures, and how these may be influenced by physical treatment.
