This studio focuses on development strategy and the integration of conflicting interests, analogous to the kind of assignment that might be issued by a government planning agency. Projects typically involve redevelopment or revitalisation of an existing urban neighbourhood or district, rather than a defined urban site, with a focus on diagnosis of problems and opportunities, community engagement, protection of natural and historic resources, public investment strategies and design controls for private development.
