The recognition, evaluation and control of occupational hygiene hazards, with emphasis on physical agents such as noise, vibration, heat and pressure, together with chemical agents such as dusts, fibres, gases, vapours, fumes and mists. Toxicological evaluation of hazardous chemicals, qualitative and quantitative risk assessment techniques, and the accessing of relevant sources of occupational hygiene information. The use of workplace exposure standards and the selection, application and evaluation of control measures for dealing with occupational hygiene hazards in the workplace. -- Course Website
